How we do it

Our 4-step roof cleaning process

Here’s what happens on your roof, step by step — with no pressure washer anywhere near your shingles.

  1. Evolve crew member in a safety harness brushing thick moss off a shingle roof with a long-handled scrub brush

    Moss removal

Thick moss is brushed off the shingles first, so the treatment reaches the roof underneath.

  2. Harnessed Evolve crew member walking down a roof valley with a leaf blower to clear loose moss and debris

    Roof blow-off

Loose moss, needles and debris are blown off the roof and out of the valleys.

  3. Crew member spraying soft-wash treatment across dark asphalt shingles from a garden-hose wand

    Low-pressure soft wash

A soft-wash treatment goes on at low pressure and kills moss and algae at the root — no granules stripped off.

  4. Three Evolve crew members with a leaf blower and shovel in front of a home after finishing a job

    Clean-up & warranty

We clean up around your home before we leave, and every roof cleaning is backed by a two-year warranty.

About our roof cleaning

A cleaner roof that lasts longer

Dark streaks, moss, and algae don’t just look bad — they trap moisture and shorten the life of your roof. Our soft-wash system safely removes all of it without the damaging pressure that strips shingle granules.

We treat the surface, rinse gently, and leave your roof looking years younger. It’s the smart, low-risk way to protect one of your home’s biggest investments.

Roof Cleaning for homeowners, strata councils and property managers in Chilliwack, Abbotsford, Mission, Agassiz, Rosedale, Cultus Lake, Langley, Maple Ridge and Surrey.

Why it matters

Moss doesn’t just look bad — it destroys your roof

That green fuzz is far more than an eyesore. Moss and algae trap moisture against your shingles, lift them off the roof deck, and quietly cause rot and leaks. Left alone, it can force a full roof replacement years early — cleaning it now costs a fraction of that.

Traps moisture

Moss holds water against your shingles, accelerating rot and leaks underneath.

Lifts your shingles

As it spreads, moss pries shingles apart and creates entry points for water.

Costs you thousands

Ignored moss can force an early roof replacement — one of the priciest home repairs.

Kills curb appeal

A dark, streaked roof drags down how your whole home looks and its resale value.

★★★★★

“We had a great experience with Evolve Exterior Home. Aidan was easy to work with and quick to respond to messages. They offer fair competitive pricing and get the job done as quoted. We had our metal roof and gutters cleaned - the photos speak for themselves. The roof pitch is steep and they came prepared with a plan. Crew on site was professional. We would book them again.”

★★★★★

“I contracted Evolve Exterior to remove moss and soft wash my entire roof in addition, to soft wash the entire vinyl exterior of the house. It was the most satisfying contracting experience from start to finish. Courteous and hard working team; focussed on doing the work properly and ensuring your needs were met. I have already recommended them to friends & family and have also contracted them for other projects. Well done guys and Thank You! 2026 06 19”

How much does roof cleaning cost?
Average pricing runs from $799 for a small home to $1,399+ for a large one. Every quote is free and exact, and new customers get $200 off their first roof cleaning when they book online.

Will pressure damage my shingles?

How long does roof cleaning last?
